Librairie Michel Fortin

Established in 1982, the bookstore earned a reputation for its niche in the world of languages. It is recognized by customers, business partners and peers as the reference in language teaching as well as self-teaching.

Our databank represents over 62 000 references covering 260 languages.  Our inventory consists of over 13 400 titles, mainly methods for self-teaching, complete language courses for the classroom, conversation guides and dictionaries.

The bookstore offers a unique experience which reflects its interest and commitment toward its customers.  Set in a calm and peaceful environment, customers find it to be perfect for consultations and discussions.

Its mission: push aside linguistic barriers through the promotion of language learning.

Based on the XML language (language related to HTML used to generate Web pages), this format allows dynamic pagination and flexibility in the text display (adjusting font size for example). This format is perfect for tablets or readers, such as (to name a few):



Fixed-layout: Illustrated books, such as books for children, are converted in a way to preserve a fixed layout rather than a flexible one. They cannot be open on a computer with Adobe Digital Edition for the time-being. They are specifically designed for tablets (IPad, Kobo, Arc, Nexus, and Samsung for example).

Enriched epub: This type of epub can contain a video or an audio file. They are specifically designed for tablets (IPad, Kobo, Arc, Nexus, and Samsung for example).
